A building designed over an existing, in-ground, stone-clad, flat-roofed public toilet building. Its entrance is independent of the function below (it opens onto another street). The structure and materials used are traditional (timber framing, ashlar clad walls, thatched roofing, brick and timber flooring) and open pavilion-like, largely enclosed by glass walls and timber lattice.
