Conversion and renovation of a neoclassical corner house under local portection. The building was until recently used as a restaurant. The house has been converted into a 500-capacity kitchen and dining room serving meals to local students. In addition to catering for primary school pupils, it also serves the staff of the institutions on site, while the nursery schools and the day-care centre for the elderly are catered for by the delivery of meals (using the existing hot kitchens). In addition to the above, the restaurant can also cater for external guests (residents of Nagymaros and visitors to the city). The courtyard of the property is divided into two parts: the first part is delimited by an 'L' shaped enclosure of the building, where a garden area has been created. The rear part of the courtyard is the area of the farmers' market, which opens up to the Millennium street with a new fence (large double-winged wooden gates between brick piers). A service warehouse has also been added.
The building consists of two wings, on either side of the L plan. The smaller span of the courtyard was originally the open porch of the building, which has been built on and rebuilt over time. This interior tract was demolished and replaced with a brick pier wall with wood paneling and opening glass walls. By doing this, we tidied up the earlier alterations and also reclaimed the porch. The kitchen area has been completely rebuilt to meet the requirements and needs of a 500-capacity kitchen. The kitchen staff social rooms and the heating room have been built in the existing vaulted basement.
