The construction site was located in Budaörs, on the Köhegy (Stone-hill) side. The planning task was the transformation and renovation of the old building on the plot. The existing building was built in the 1970s, probably in a homemade construction. The building was a typical example of the so-called mason's house, i.e. a residential building that was built by a mason who knew nothing about planning, in several copies on the street and in the settlement. The building was constantly rebuilt and expanded over the years, but its floor plan was still completely unusable, for example, the internal staircase leading to the attic was placed in the worst place, in front of the south facade, but fortunately the supporting structure was strong enough to support the walls, the floor and the roof structure can be maintained.
During the design, the task was to create a modern home for a family with two children. During the transformation, not only the ground plan layout of the building, but also the external facades and mass form had to be transformed in order to create a modern XXI. century building. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen and a study on the ground floor, and three bedrooms on the first floor. An important added value of the building is the porch and covered terrace running along the south facade, where there is also a dining table. During the renovation, a complete energetic modernization was also carried out.
