The renovation of this 100-year-old upper-class villa—converted from a building that is several hundred years old—has transformed the previously neglected structure back into a residential home. The family winery is located in a new wing at the rear of the property. The new wing extends the existing porch and building mass with a more austere appearance; it houses the winery’s facilities on the ground floor and, in the attic, room units suitable for both residential and hospitality purposes. The barrel-aged wine cellar is located in the basement of the street-facing wing.
