The Bükkszentkereszt Municipality hosts several outdoor events every year. These outdoor programs are organized in the parking area in the center of the village. The advantage of the area is that due to the stepped location, the spectators can watch the performance from several levels, and the panorama of the Bükk Mountains can be seen as a background behind the stage.
The open-air stage is located on the upper level of the stage building, the performer's dressing rooms and washrooms, and the audience washroom are located on the lower level. The stage building was partially sunk below the existing field level, so the lower floor level was underground. The benches in the auditorium follow the slope of the terrain, taking advantage of the natural slope of the area. The stage building was built with a symmetrical mass, a roof slope with a low inclination angle, and a mass structure that leans outwards in the direction of both the slope and the parking lots. The roof and wall cladding, separated in layers and jumping in different planes, symbolize the decomposing, peeling onion layers.
